I have NEVER had an issue connecting to VPN with any of my previous routers and none of the settings on my laptop have changed. However that would route all my devices through the VPN service, likely slowing down my speeds on everything. Basically what I want is all traffic from Netflix to run through a VPN service so I can watch it on my TV and everything else straight through my ISP. The EA4500 would allow my blu-ray player, Laptop, security DVR etc to wirelessly access the internet through the VPN as needed. How this can be made possible I do not know. But I was told that the EA4500 cannot access theVPN server as I did not have DD-WRT or other compatible firmware.
